Power & 3-on-3 – Summer Program

Join us at the Julie McArthur Recreation Centre for a structured combination of power skating and 3-on-3 gameplay.

Programs are available for both Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced levels.

Schedule 4 week program

Session Dates: Sundays July 12 – August 9
(No session August 2 long weekend.)

Weekly Schedule

• Beginner: 9:00–9:50 AM
  • Group 1: Ages 5–7
  • Group 2: Ages 8–10
• Intermediate/Advanced: 10:00–10:50 AM
  • Group 1: Ages 7–9
  • Group 2: Ages 10–13

***Please Note:

• July 19 schedule runs one hour earlier (Beginner 8:00–8:50AM, Intermediate/Advanced 9:00–9:50 AM)

Program Format

Each session includes:

• 10 minutes of full-ice warm-up
• 20 minutes of focused power skating development
• 20 minutes of 3-on-3 gameplay

The small-area 3-on-3 format allows for increased puck touches, higher skating intensity, and faster decision-making in game situations.

Group Structure

• Beginner: Ages 5–7 and 8–10
• Intermediate/Advanced: Ages 7–9 and 10–13

Players will be grouped appropriately based on age and skill level.

3-on-3 games are organized by age group to ensure a safe and competitive environment for all participants.

Registration Details

• 4-session summer program
• Maximum 28 skaters per group to maintain quality instruction and tempo
• Players register individually (no fixed teams)
• Lineups may rotate weekly to keep sessions engaging

Focus of the program: development, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.
