How does the program work?
The program focuses on skating skills as well as other sports. Full time 5 day members receive priority for spaces. Children skate on Tuesdays as well as have access to the shooting pad on site, days that children are not skating they will participate in off ice activities as well as other sports, agility, games, fitness challenges. An example might be Jonny plays badminton on Monday, skating on Tuesdays (Tara rink), Shooting pad on Wednesday, Fitness on Thursday and obstacle course on Friday. Games and activities change weekly.
Skating Skill levels: vary. Skaters can move to different groups if needed. Groups are small so easy to accommodate skills and ask skaters/athletes to preform different skills. There will be stations on the ice and skaters will be grouped accordingly by age and skill.
Example groups:
group 1 beginner skaters group recreation and hockey 4-7yrs
group 2: Intermediate to advanced learn to skate 6+
group 3: intermediate to advanced hockey players 5-8yrs,
group 4: intermediate to advanced hockey players group 9-12yrs
This is just an example and groups will vary based on enrollment. Small group sizes and multiple coaches on the ice.
